Everybody was having a wonderful time and they were smashing things up in the hotel room, and I was this weird square over in my room who didn’t do all that stuff. I was very critical of what everybody did. And I wanted my time with Bob because I thought he was a special friend. He’d moved on, and it was awful. I mean, it just hurt like hell. I thought, I assumed since I invited him on the stage in the States, he’d invite me on the stage there. He had no intention of doing that.

It was probably a stupid thing to do [not letting her play], but you can’t be wise and in love at the same time, so… I hope she’ll see the light sooner or later on that.
